Our Guide Season begins April 1 through October 31 with a short break during the Smallmouth Spawning season, (second week in May -June 15) .
Summer/Fall-
We Recommended 7wt. rods set up with floating lines for summer floats and 7-8 wt rods set up with a intermediate sinking line for spring and fall when we are fishing deeper in the water column and throwing larger streamers.
Summer evening floats are the perfect half day adventure and puts you on the water for prime top water action. These trips typically run from 4:30pm - 8:30 pm, and focus on throwing top water flys and fishing the top of the water column with Poppers, CK baitfish patterns and Murdich minnow patterns.
These floats are a great option for people visiting or working in the Harrisburg area.
Trips on the Rivers are done in a 16’ Clackacraft drift boat and can accommodate 2 anglers.
1-2 person custom trips can also be had on the Tributaries in the spring for Pre spawn fishing depending on water conditions. These trips are in a 12’ Flycraft Stealth X raft complete with fishing frame and casting braces front and rear, this boat enables us to float the smaller tributaries that have no boat launch access.
I do not provide lunches , but will have bottled waters and a cooler on the boat for you to store your lunch.
Group trips are also a option if you have 4-6 people that would like to experience the river as a group. These trips would require the use of 1-2 additional guides and drift boats and would include a grilled shore lunch. If interested in this option we can discuss pricing and lunch menu.

Life & Career
Fully licensed and insured Pennsylvania Fishing Guide and Graduate of the Sweet Water Guide school in Livingston Montana.
I started fishing at a early age with my Father and learned both spinning and Fly tactics for Smallmouth bass and Trout , eventually I settled on the fly rod as my tool of choice and spent a lot of years chasing the Pennsylvania Hatches and Throwing dry flies to rising trout during the Spring hatch season. As the stream temps would warm in the summer months I would transfer my fishing efforts to Smallmouth bass, as the years went by I started spending more and more time chasing Smallmouth. I still enjoy trout Fishing but these wild river Smallmouth have become my favorite Species to target on the Fly .
I am also a USMC Veteran and work full time as a Union Welder for a power Company . Retirement is right around the corner for me and at that time I hope to offer more trip availability and also offer some trout trips.
As a Supporter of our Veterans I donate a lot of my time with Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing. I currently hold the position as Program Lead for the the local Harrisburg program along with being the PHWFF Deputy Regional Cordinator for the state of Pennsylvania where I instruct beginner Fly fishing classes and Fly tying.
I focus the majority of my guiding on PHWFF Veteran Participants and this is my way of giving back to our Veterans.
All trips done for Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing are done as a donation at no cost to PHWFF or the Veteran Participants.
